About Us

James larped for the first time at a Cam-Sanctioned event at a local convention. The experience was not pleasant. Years later he tried again, participating in the “Peru” event at Gen Con 2005. You can imagine how that turned out. Needless to say, with his only Larp exposure being around Cammies at conventions (and not being a Cammie at the time) he came away from the experience assuming Larps were a waste of time and Larpers were douchebags. James has since joined the Cam in Albuquerque, but has yet to be convinced that his original estimation of the club was totally wrong.

James agrees with Mark that their local game was at it’s absolute best during it’s first three months, when the players as a whole didn’t really have a great deal of exposure to the main body of the Cam. Then people started going to Regional Events, and began to understand how the Camarilla as a whole really worked.

Then everything went to Hell.

Mark came into White Wolf games almost exclusively with the “New” World of Darkness, and therefore lacks the frame of reference to understand why people run around with katanas flinging their pretend vampire powers at each other. Despite his prevailing opinion that Werewolf: the Forsaken was penned by Jesus Christ himself, Mark still has high hopes that he’ll on day be able to convince people to play all the World of Darkness venues in an controversial new way: the way they are portrayed in the source books.

Mark believes whole heartedly the the majority of the Cam Chronicle is so cartoony as to be laughable. He also agrees with James that none of this is an easy or simple fix and will require everyone to play ball. These beliefs do not, of course, stop him from using his own relatively high MC in character creation. Hypocritical? Maybe, but don’t upset him or he may Dominate you to stand still while he sets you on fire.

Mark’s momma didn’t raise no fool.
